Beautiful Arabic Mehndi Designs For 2011


Mehndi is the application of henna as a temporary form of skin decoration in South Asia and diaspora from these areas. Mehendi decoration came into vogue in the West in the late 1990′s, where they are sometimes called henna tattoos. Henna is usually used for special occasions such as weddings and holidays. It is usually drawn on the palms and feet, where the color will be darker because the skin contains higher levels of keratin which binds temporarily henna dye. Henna was originally used as a form of decoration mainly for brides.
